By using NoLOL ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
NoLOL lets you create "try not to laugh" challenges. You upload a photo, our AI modifies it into a funny version, and you can share it as a challenge for friends. The challenge records their reaction via their front camera.
You must be at least 16 years old to use NoLOL. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.
When you upload a photo or create a challenge, you agree that:
Images transformed by NoLOL are AI-generated modifications. They are not real depictions of events. You must not present AI-modified images as real photographs. The AI transformation is provided for entertainment purposes only.
We use automated safety filters to block inappropriate content. However, no filter is perfect. We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion, for any reason, without notice.
If you appear in a challenge and want it removed, or if you believe content violates these terms, contact us at abuse@nolol.app. We aim to respond to removal requests within 48 hours.
By uploading content to NoLOL, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and serve your content as part of the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. You can request deletion at any time.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be available, accurate, or error-free. AI outputs may be unexpected or inappropriate despite our safety filters.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoLOL and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from user-generated content.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NoLOL and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

When you create a challenge, we store your original photo and the AI-modified version on our servers (Cloudflare R2). These are needed to serve the challenge to other users.
When you play a challenge, your camera and microphone are used locally in your browser to record your reaction. This recording is never uploaded to our servers — it stays on your device. You choose whether to save, share, or delete it.
We may collect basic analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the Service. We do not track you across other websites.
Challenge images and data are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion. To request deletion of your content, email abuse@nolol.app with the challenge URL.
